Brisbane 'Winter': Layering

June 18, 2017

Winter in Brisbane is pathetic to say the least. However it gives me the excuse to wear my summer dresses all year round with my favourite winter trend, layering.

For my first post on The Blue Belle Journal I thought it would be appropriate to show one of my favourite outfits. The title of my blog wasn't an easy decision to make and I am still not 100% sure on it, however blue is my favourite colour and Annabelle is my name so I thought it at least had some meaning behind it. In saying all that this whole outfit is green, my second favourite colour. I feel like a 4 year old telling someone who doesn't care what my favourite colours are.

The long sleeve shirt was a recent purchase from TK Maxx, previously known as Trade Secret, one of my favourite shops for good quality clothes at low prices. I bought it after wearing a similar, almost identical, shirt from Kookai to death.

My beautiful Nice Martin Dress designed by another Brisbane creative, Jasmine Dowling, has been a wardrobe staple for me since the day I got it. Even better, I can wear it all year round.

I have styled it with an unreasonably summery basket bag for winter, but I only got it last week and was way to keen too wear it. It was given to me as a present from Bali however there are many on the market online

Another new purchase, my new Jo Mercer boots. Perfect for everyday and incredibly comfortable, trust me, I walked a very long way in these today.

Please enjoy these very un-candid photo of me in a park, guest starring my dog Margret.
